The MLK, Jr. Celebration will host an Oratorical Contest for the youth of Grant County to give them an opportunity to take an active role in the tribute and celebration of Dr. King. The theme and speech topic for the contest is "WHY WAS THE WORK OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. IMPORTANT TO THIS GENERATION?"
The contest is open to any student ages 15-20. Interested students must prepare an 8-10 minute organized oral presentation. Three prizes will be awared: 1st Prize - $100, 2nd Prize - $50, 3rd Prize - $25.
